QUESTION: Before you started the remodel, what were you most concerned about, and how did our team handle those concerns?
CLIENT ANSWER: I think making sure you get the quality you want, along with the price you have budgeted for, is probably everybody's biggest concern. RemodelCo did a great job of laying out all the different rooms we wanted done. We had everything redone, from bedrooms to the primary bathroom, guest bathroom, and full kitchen remodel. We added a new dining room and took walls down.
They broke everything out into separate estimates and provided a detailed breakdown of what they were doing in detail, along with the price associated with every line item. That made it easy for me to compare the numbers against my budget, determine what we wanted to do, and make sure it would all fit.
QUESTION: How did we do at keeping you informed, answering your questions, and communicating throughout the project?
CLIENT ANSWER: Communication is key to getting any project done right and making sure I'm happy as the customer. We had daily communication with RemodelCo. They sent me emails every day telling me who was coming and what they would be working on. That kept me informed, and I'm a communication nut, so it was very helpful.
For big items, they informed me in advance of what would happen, such as kitchen cabinets coming in, walls coming down, or work in the attic. They also told us about things that would affect our schedule, including whether electricity or air conditioning would be impacted. We were living in the home during the remodel, in the basement, but it all worked out really well.
QUESTION: How well did we follow the schedule and keep the project moving, and what did that mean for you?
CLIENT ANSWER: That's probably the best attribute of working with RemodelCo. We had heard scary stories from people whose extensive remodels took six or eight months. I think we budgeted two and a half to three months to get this done, and none of our friends or neighbors believed it would be done in that timeframe.
It did get done in that timeframe, with quality workmanship. We were very happy with the timing and getting it done when we wanted and expected it to be done.
QUESTION: What stood out about our craftsmen and the quality of the finished work, especially in your kitchen and bathrooms?
CLIENT ANSWER: That's a high priority for every homeowner. The quality of the kitchen cabinets and everything from the floorboards to the ceiling work needed to match the ceiling finishes was excellent. We were pleased with how it all turned out and blended together.
When you remodel, you don't want part of it to look like the old place and part to look newly redone. This all looks like it was new from the beginning. The craftsmanship is excellent, especially the kitchen cabinetry. We looked at their work on other projects in advance and were pleased with it.
The primary bathroom shower was the other main item where we wanted excellent craftsmanship. It turned out gorgeous. The tile work was phenomenal. They helped us with selections for the tile flooring in the shower, which made it even better. I noticed the time and care they took on a daily basis, and the craftsmanship was superb.
QUESTION: If a friend were considering RemodelCo for a remodel like yours, what would you tell them about your experience?
CLIENT ANSWER: I would tell them to absolutely choose RemodelCo. They did what they said they would do, within the budget they told us. They gave us credit for things another contractor might not have been willing to do.
For example, we wanted to do some of the painting. They had included it in the bid, but they let us do it and took the full price off the bid. That saved us money and helped us meet our overall budget. They did the work in a timely fashion. Good communication, good-quality workmanship. We're very pleased with the job overall.
