At RemodelCo, we believe reliability and craftsmanship should come standard, not as a pleasant surprise. We finish basements, remodel kitchens and bathrooms, and take on whole home renovations across Salt Lake Valley and Utah County, all with clear communication, real timelines, and quality that lasts.

The truth is, we built this company because the construction industry needed a better option.  

RemodelCo was founded on the idea that homeowners deserve a remodeler who operates the way every business should: answer the phone, show up on time, do what you said you'd do, and finish the work the right way. 

Today, we're a small but seasoned team finishing basements, remodeling kitchens, refreshing bathrooms, and taking on whole-home renovations. The projects keep getting bigger, but our standards haven't budged.

Our Story

RemodelCo was founded in early 2025 by Preston Alexander with one goal in mind: to build a remodeling company that homeowners could actually count on.

Before starting the business, Preston spent years in real estate technology and finance, building a deep background in client service, business operations, and project management. He kept hearing the same story over and over from friends, family, and clients: contractors who didn't show up, didn't communicate, didn't honor their pricing, or didn't finish the work to the quality they'd promised.

After feeling strongly that his family needed a major change, Preston left his job at a tech startup and set out to build a company designed around the experience homeowners actually deserve. Honesty. Reliability. Professionalism. The kind of contractor relationship that doesn't leave you dreading the next phone call.

That commitment to client experience is still the foundation of everything we do today.

The Partnership Behind the Work

To build a remodeling company worth recommending, Preston knew he needed someone with deep construction expertise running the field side of the business. 

Craig is RemodelCo's Head of Construction and brings more than 20 years of experience to the team, including time as a regional manager for large home builders and years spent finishing basements on his own. Craig knows construction inside and out, from framing and tile to coordinating subs and reading a set of plans the right way.

The partnership between Preston and Craig is what makes RemodelCo work. Strong systems and client communication on one side, deep construction knowledge and craftsmanship on the other.

Our Process

1 | Consultation
It starts with a quick phone call and an on-site visit. We will walk your space, ask the detailed questions other contractors skip, and put together an estimate range before we leave so you have real numbers to work with from day one. 
2 | Design & Selections
Next, we lock in the details. If you need design help, we will connect you with our trusted partner designer. Once the direction is set, we finalize your materials, coordinate subcontractors, and build out a fixed-price proposal so you know exactly what your project will cost. 
3 | Construction
Once you approve the proposal, we get to work. Our team manages every piece of the build, communicates with you consistently along the way, and finishes with a careful walkthrough to make sure your new space looks great and functions even better.
