Whole Home Remodeling in Salt Lake County and Utah County
One Team. One Design. One Continuous Vision Across Every Room.
When Remodeling One Space Isn't Enough
Most whole home remodels don't start as whole home remodels. They start with a kitchen, then the primary bath gets added in, then the basement, and pretty soon you're staring at a remodel scope that touches every floor of the house.
There's a better way to do this.
A whole home remodel done right means one design language flowing from the entry all the way through to the basement, one schedule that sequences the trades in the correct order, and one team that's accountable from demo to final walkthrough. You stop juggling three contractors with three different timelines. Everything moves together, and the finished house actually feels finished.
This is where RemodelCo shines. We coordinate the framing, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, tile, flooring, paint, and finish carpentry across every room in the home, keep you looped in along the way, and protect the through-line of the design from start to finish.
Different Types of Whole Home Remodels
Top-to-Bottom Gut Renovations
The full reset. We take the home down to the studs (or further), rework layouts, replace mechanicals, and rebuild every room with new finishes, modern systems, and a fresh, cohesive design from front door to back patio.
Multi-Room Renovations
You don't have to gut the whole house to get a whole-home feel. Most of our clients renovate the kitchen, primary bathroom, secondary bathrooms, and main living spaces all at once, leaving bedrooms and untouched areas as-is. The result is a home that feels brand new where it matters most.
Pre-Move-In Renovations
You just bought a house, and you want it dialed in before you move in a single box. We compress the timeline, coordinate every trade, and hand you the keys to a home that already feels like yours. This is one of our favorite projects, especially in Park City, Salt Lake City, and Holladay.
Open-Concept Main-Floor Remodels
A common ask in Utah homes built before 2000. We remove walls (load-bearing or not), reconfigure the kitchen, living, and dining areas, replace flooring throughout the main level, and turn a chopped-up floor plan into a bright, connected hub.
Cosmetic Whole Home Refreshes
You love the layout, you just don't love the finishes. We update flooring, paint, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, hardware, and trim across the entire home, without the cost or disruption of a full gut.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does a whole home remodel cost in Utah?expand_more
-
Whole home remodels typically run between $50,000 and $300,000.
The lower end covers a cosmetic refresh across the home (paint, flooring, lighting, hardware), the middle covers multi-room renovations with new kitchens and baths, and the upper end covers full gut renovations with custom finishes and structural changes.
- Can I live in my home during a whole home remodel?expand_more
- Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and we'll be straight with you during the consultation. Cosmetic refreshes and phased multi-room remodels are often livable. Full gut renovations usually aren't, and we recommend planning to move out or rent a place during the heaviest construction phases.
- Should I remodel or just move?expand_more
-
Remodeling makes the most sense when you love your location, your lot, or your floor plan, but the finishes and layout aren't doing it for you anymore.
Moving usually makes more sense when you're outgrowing the square footage entirely or the home has fundamental issues that aren't worth the investment to fix.
We're happy to help you think it through during the consultation, even if the answer turns out to be "go buy something new."
- Will a whole home remodel increase my home's value?expand_more
-
Yes, especially in higher-demand markets like Salt Lake City, Holladay, Park City, and the Lehi corridor.
The ROI depends on the scope, the neighborhood, and how long you plan to stay, but a well-executed whole home remodel often appraises higher than the cost of the project itself.
Our tip? If your remodeling goal is to prepare your home for resale, don't choose highly custom or luxury finishes and features. The homes that appeal to a wider audience often sell faster.

Project Reviews
What Our Clients Are Saying
"Working with this team was a really positive experience. I have been burned by contractors in the past, so I’m always a bit hesitant. They showed up on time and were very transparent on the bid prices. Cody did amazing work, was on time, and communicated through each step, and was helpful with options. We had them tear down and replace trim around our garage and replace the siding by the garage siding. When the siding was removed, we discovered there used to be a door to our garage—we quickly shifted gears to restore and install a new door. They were very flexible with scope change, and Cody was meticulous with his craftsmanship."

"RemodelCo did an amazing job. They showed up when they said they would. They took care to approach each job carefully and did really fine work. My dad passed away seven years ago, so my mom hasn’t had anyone to do the odd jobs around the house, and this is the quality of work that he would have done. I can’t recommend them highly enough."
